Challa Bake on Azza; Jewish Women Claim Victory in Palestine

Pasuk - with elimelech - plishta

Romans renamed countries all over the world and for Israel renamed the county palestine. Whatever you call this geographical territory, it will forever be the God given homeland for the Jewish people.

Heritage Foundation townhall - zionism is the belief in the right to jewish self-determination in our ancient homeland. Diversity in orthodox Judiasm of how and when we will see that happen but all agree that our ultimate dream is to see the third temple rebuilt, see all jews return to Israel and that the entire world should recognize god and serve him according to what the torah teaches, 613 motzvos for Bnei Avrohom and the 7 Noahide Laws for bnei Noach. All orthodox Jewish, those who fight in the IDF to Satmar Chasidim who publicly disagree with the modern state of Israel - all pray 3 times a day asking for the full return of the jewish people to Israel and pray in the direction of har habayis and Jerusalem.

Mamdani communist - religious jews do not align with communism but we do not identify as anti-communists either. In a recent parsah we learn about Sedom, where radical capitalism, materialism and a society based on pure self interest implodes in on itself. The attributes that define the jewish people are רחמנים, ביישנים וגומלי חסדים. Rabbi Breitowitz recently said that the Torah does not prescribe a specific governmental structure; only outline principles and we have to use human reason and discernment to advocate for a political system that best aligns with out values. There is a lot of controversy on whether Israel should maintian a connection to its communist roots or push towards a capitolist country. Israel is undeniably a success story but I would argue that is has nothing to do with our relatively free markets or our socialist healthcare and welfare systems - the secret to our success is in the ג  pages of our phonebook, endless listings of gemach after gemach - non-profit grassroot organizations to offera myriad of assistance to strangers.
